This sculpture of a young child looking expectantly upward is one of my most recent works, a small bust in terracotta created for my mother. He is about 18 cm (7 inches) high and modelled in a rich, warm earthenware, a clay whose composition was developed by my sister Amy Myers. I am pleased with the baby's vitality and by the bright, childlike spontaneity in his expression.
