In
pale light, the tiny orchids immaterialize into fluttering wings,
dancing up and down across the arch of their stem. But the miniscule
blooms are full of fragrance that dances with them; the air is full
of a beauty whose melody - or tinted haze - or intangible happiness -
floats far beyond the little handful of white-and-pink flowers.
A glorious arch of orchid blooms on a plant given to me for Christmas. They continue to flower, even as the first blossoms remain bright and whole... They are distilled sunlight.
